THE BUILDING
The Boutique Hotel Palacio de la Veracruz is located in the historic center of Alcalá la Real. Formerly Corral de comedias (1613), next to the disappeared church of La Veracruz, it is a modernist construction from the beginning of the 20th century by master builder Domingo Sánchez Velasco. The Hotel Palacio de la Veracruz presents an interesting sample of historicist and modernist architecture, in a building completely restored and adapted to offer its services to the visitor. Palacio Abacial
The interior of the Palacio Abacial Museum features a courtyard with a cloister of three sections, two of which form galleries opened by arcades supported by twelve superimposed Tuscan columns.
It is currently the headquarters of the Archaeological Museum and provides an innovative way to learn about the heritage and remains of Alcalá la Real.
